Nature's Kiss
The grassy knoll that lies ahead is bountiful
Plush with aromatic flowers and spices plentiful
Far in the distance a stoic deer stands
Grazing on what the meadow has
A trickling brook runs near my side
Filled with pebbles and rocks for the water to glide
The trees amidst shadow the the water to brown
Lively and tall they seem to be crowned
With the colors of autumn: red, gold, yellow
As the sunlight glares over the leaves so mellow
Standing in the knoll gives me a feeling of comfort
Nothing around, nothing but peace to report
I want to live in that glorious peace all of my days
I know that I can't but I will try and find a way
Hearing the water, feeling the breeze
Just wanting my life to be at peace
No more thoughts of the past or anything painful
To lie in the meadow where nothing is disdainful
Live and die by the fate of what lies
This scene is what always survives
