Nothing Safe
Nothing is safe
In this world of mine
Each step labored
Through the sands of time
Taken for granted
Once too often
The hardness of my shell
Soon will soften
Muddling through
The agony of the day
Has left my life
In complete disarray
Left to pick up the pieces
Of a shattered soul
Putting together one by one
Until it becomes whole
