Blanket
A blanket of calmness encompasses my weary soul
It leaves my heart warm and gentle to be told
Soothing to myself along with others
Relieving their pain is what I can offer
Diminishing my own is what I need
Break the old habits that tend to feed
Calmed and relaxed I am right now
I know now how to do it somehow
Keep the blanket above my nubile head
Keep it square, keep it there, keep it spread
No longer to have any feelings of discomfort
The blanket will be my sole support
I shall not lose the feelings this time
Though many things will try to find
Harm me and take me back to my old ways
I shall use this blanket whenever I go astray
