Touched
Touched by an absent hand
Far away from this land
Thoughts whispered in my ear
From a thing I hold so dear
Epic hauntings from no one I know
I reel them in far too slow
Grabbing on for a life of my own
Reaping forever what I have sown
The passion of one word
Though it's not understood
As neurotic as can be
I hide it well so no one can see
I close my eyes and listen with intent
Just so I can feel how it was meant
I care not about what lies ahead
I will choose not to live life in dread
What is done is done
I will not change a one
Now is the moment I hold in my hand
Waiting patiently for my turn to stand
