Slip
Climbing to dizzying levels
Becoming somewhat disheveled
Taking its time to reach the summit
It loses footing and starts to plummet
Watching the horror in its eyes
It is clearly surprised
Not believing what has happened
Nothing like it has fathomed
Gaining velocity as it falls
Feeling nothing through its calls
I calmly peer into its dying soul
Which is quickly losing control
The impaling of its lifeless body
Has shown why I do not fear to die
