Dreams
The voice I have dreams about
It seems I can't live without
Waiting for one solitary word
Either polite or completely absurd
I watch and listen with full intent
For just one song, maybe one note
One single note is all I need
To keep me alive and breathing
Becoming impatient as time goes on
Losing faith as everything goes wrong
Not wanting to forsake what I hold dear
Not moving for lack of fear
Waiting patiently for you to haunt my head
With a newfound strength in every note you sing
