Disappointment
I think of you as I write this poem
I see your caring eyes looking at my form
Not wanting to disappoint you for fear
Of losing myself because you hold it so dear
Not wanting to depend on you for my feelings
I appreciate all of you for nothing but meanings
Caring probably more than I should
For someone I hooked to fast for food
That insatiable need to keep me alive and well
How much it means to me you'd never be able to tell
Seeing you hurt made it mean so much more
I felt your tears and your eyes ever sore
I know that I shouldn't feel this way
Because there will come a day when I can't stay
No fear of losing because you'll always be near
Whether it be you, your letters, your calls, your tears
Just knowing you're there makes my day much brighter
There's just something about you that makes my heart lighter
