From Inside
The barren and sloping hill is lonely
Just like life's work and none of the glory
Even though it stands surrounded by plushness
It looks as though it is all it has
Little tufts of grass and a lot of mud consume
The slope that reaches nowhere I assume
It must lead to something, I think to myself
More fields? More trees? I guess I'll have to guess
Wondering here behind my window looking out
All at what's on the other side of the hill about
