Forward
With eyes wide open
Facing what comes
No end in sight
Taking each careful step
As it's my last
With my memories
Of transgressions past

With my mind wide open
I fear what comes
The end is near
I run back to be safe
Begging for more time
I'm not ready yet
I need a better sign

With my heart wide open
I relish what is ahead
I feel the end
Calm and comforting
I need to be there
I walk to my destiny
With no more fear
